People and nature are at the core of my work. I am committed to crafting and elevating the human experience and interaction with design beyond merely what it looks to how it functions and makes people feel. I absorb ideas from my surroundings. I design projects that respond to the physical makeup of where we live, learn, work, and play because what we build impacts our social and environmental well-being.
For me, it is essential that architecture and the space we create are intertwined with the land we occupy. I constantly seek to create possibilities for bringing people together and connecting us physically and visually to nature, even when we are inside.
Materials have been a crucial source of inspiration in my design process since I was a sculpture student. The interplay of proportions, geometry, volume, light, shadows, materials, colours and patterns drives my quest for achieving evocative, engaging and humanistic architecture.
